She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Marie and Dulice St. Marie; her husband Henry Schmitz; her son Chad Schmitz; her brothers, Delbert St. Marie, Raymond St. Marie and Infant Robert St. Marie; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara St. Marie, Odina Mae St. Marie, Willard Brunelle, Clarence Vaudrin and Kendall Pederson.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Borgwardt (Mark) of Racine, WI, Nancy Baird (Ronald), Dale Schmitz and Tanya Gjerstad (Chuck) of Faribault, MN; her daughter-in-law Jenny Welk (Rick) of Fargo, ND.; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley Borgwardt, Aaron Baird, Taylor, Brittany Gjerstad, Madison and Blane Schmitz; her great grandchildren, Noah Borgwardt, Aubrey and Aydin Baird; and her sisters, JoAnn Brunelle of Crookston, MN, Maryls Vaudrin of Crookston, MN, Carol Pederson and Julie King (Jerry) of Hugo, MN..
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church- Red Lake (112 Edward St NE, Red Lake Falls, MN 56750). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
