He was predeceased by: his parents, Delwin Larry and Sharon Cook (Plante). He is survived by: his wife Deb Smith; his sons, John and Brian Paton; his grandchildren, Adam and Anna Paton; and his siblings, Shalaine Cook, Sarah Hillesheim (Peter) and Marcus Cook (Heather).
