Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Eugene Hasselquist (Red Wing, Minnesota), born in Almelund, Minnesota, who passed away at the age of 101, on February 7, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hasselquist and Althea Hasselquist (Sedlund); his wife Gladys Nielsen of John's Lutheran Church; his siblings, Viola Krumm and Raymond Hasselquist; and his son-in-law Jerome Bergmark.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lynne Petersen (Dane) of Red Wing and Miriam Bergmark (Dave Duepner) of New Richmond, WI; his grandchildren, Eugene Petersen, Andrew Petersen, Miles Hasselquist, Maxwell Hasselquist, Jensine Cole and Renee Kaeding; his sister Elaine Netzloff of Hibbing, MN; and his close friend Elaine Jorgensen of Red Wing. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to World Hunger, St. Paul's Church, or Tabor Lutheran Church.
