She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Buchholtz and Gordon Haas; her stepfather Alvin Nordeen; her husband Sam of Paul's Lutheran Church; her son Sam Jr.; her grandson Bryan Struss; and her brother Robert Buchholtz.

She is survived by: her children, Daniel Struss (Shelly) of Red Wing and Jan Struss of Red Wing; her grandchildren, Morley, Chloe Struss of Red Wing and Lindy Schutz of Bluestone, Missouri; and her nieces, Cynthia Anderson (Skip), Shari Lampert and Suzanne Buchholtz. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Red Wing Kiwanis Flower Basket Fund or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
