She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mehrkens and Sophie Mehrkens (Nehring); her husband Merlin Holst; her son Keith Holst; her son-in-law Paul Martin; and her brother Roy Mehrkens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandi Berg (Len) of Welch, Colleen Phillips (Dana) of Hager City, WI and Jean Martin of Red Wing; her daughter-in-law Diane Holst (Kevin Eckblad) of Dover, AR; her grandchildren, Jennie Bungum (Dave), Brianna Berg, Lexi Bettis (Ben), Chris Holst (Linsy), Kory Holst (Amanda) and Lucas Phillips; her stepgrandchildren, Missy Phillips, Nick Phillips (Becky), Sam Phillips and Yena Phillips (Jeff Heilman); her great grandchildren, Carter, Gabriella, Hudsyn, MaKenna and Rhett; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Amara, Alana, Cameron, Owen, Hayden and Karlie; and her sister-in-law Alice Mehrkens of Goodhue.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (421 East Ave, Red Wing, MN 55066). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to the St. John's Church Elevator Fund.
