He is survived by: his wife Sandra Matthees of Red Wing; his daughters, Kandace Kirchner of Red Wing, Christine Kallestad (Gary) of Blaine, Bonnie Kemp (David) of Zimmerman and Jennifer Matthees (Heather) of Red Wing; his grandchildren, Kayla (Kyle), William, Sarah, Megan (Jesse), Jenna (Oscar), Matthew (Ellie), Tyler and Anna; and his sisters, Joan Fredeen of Anoka, Marie Strusz (Curt) of Goodhue and Althea Voth (Marty) of Red Wing. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
