He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alpers and Anna Alpers; his wife Hertha Kniesel; and his siblings, Esther, Elwin, Edmund and Norman.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth (Bruce), Carlstrom (Lake City), Laura (Barry), John (Jodie) and Kurt (Michelle); and his sister Doris Corson (Phil).
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Concordia Lutheran Church (1805 Bush St, Red Wing, MN 55066). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery East Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church, 1805 Bush Street, Red Wing, MN or Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities.
