With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Dorothy Grant of Red Wing, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2026 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Szmiot and Dorothy Szmiot; her husband David Kaufmann (James); her great-nephew Clinton Boyd Jr.; and her niece Erin Elizabeth Boyd.
She is survived by: her children, Jason and Jesse Kaufmann; her grandchildren, Kerys, Dylan Kaufamnn and Jerrell Maldacker; and her siblings, Denise Szmiot and Charles (Tim Szmiot).
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Prairie Island Community Cemetery Church.
