He is survived by: his children, Patricia Badger (Layton) of Mantorville, Minn, Michael Tapanila of Chisago and Brian Tapanila (Sarah) of Red Wing; and his grandchildren, Samantha Badger, Grant Badger (Joyce), Megan Badger, Abby Tapanila, Emily Tapanila, Tanner Tapanila, Brayden Tapanila and Catelynn Tapanila.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Leo C. Peterson American Legion or the BPOE 845 Elks Club.
