He was predeceased by : his parents, Eldore Bredeson and Rose Bredeson (Grove); his father-in-law Ronald Thompson; his son-in-law Eric; and his sister Elaine.

He is survived by : his wife Janet Thompson; his children, Michelle, Carrin, Kristina (Mike), Nicholas (Tiffany) and Rachel (Tony); his stepson Travis (Lauren); his grandchildren, Michael (Taylor), Lianna (Aaron), Olivia, Meaghan, Syrina, Jonny, Jenna, Julya, Sophia and Noah; and his siblings, Les, Wayne and Joan. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren a great-grandchild.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home (111 S Halvorson St, Redwood Falls, MN 56283). The military honors was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at the Follow Outside the Funeral Home.
