He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Phyle and Helen Phyle (Carlson); and his brother William Phyle. He is survived by: his children, Kelli Ramey of St. Paul, MN, John Phyle of Lonsdale, MN and Matthew Phyle (Jill) of Prior Lake, MN; and his brothers, Warren Phyle (Carol) of Phoenix, AZ, Brian Phyle (Terri) of Lindstrom, MN and Paul Phyle of Burnsville, MN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; by 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
