She was predeceased by: her mother Mabel; and her stepfather John Smedberg. She is survived by: her son John Tormondsen, Sr. of Stamford, CT; her grandchildren, Erin Powers (Ben) of Cornwall, VT and John Tormondsen, Jr. (Maria Golub) of New York City, NY; and her great grandchildren, Henry, George, Thomas and Charles. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was an active member of the Busy Needles quilting group, donating countless hours of her time to their pursuits.
