He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Olson and Olive Olson (Budd); his wife Judy A Buckett; and his siblings, Lois and James.

He is survived by: his sons, Shawn Olson (Farah) and Eric Olson (Anne); his grandchildren, Annika, Ethan, Samantha, Nicholas and Finn; and his siblings, Allen Olson (Mary), Ronnie Olson, Karen Judycki (Patrick) and Kathy Olson.
