She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignace Kapelovitz and Ethel Kapelovitz; her husband Aaron Gitis; her son Pincus; and her brothers, Harold, Marcus Kapelovitz and Sam Kappe.
She is survived by: her children, Joline Gitis (Steven Miles) and Sheldon Gitis; her grandchildren, Dara Miles (Sambo Pen), Erica Bowen (Brian) and Esme Gitis-Miles; and her great grandchildren, Stephanie, Serena Miles and Aaron James Bowen.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Minneapolis Jewish Cemetery Chapel (7032 Penn Ave S, Richfield, MN 55423). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
