He is survived by: his wife Janice Zempel; his children, Patricia Gries (Tom), Stephanie Stelman (Scott) and David Zempel (Viktoria); his grandchildren, Joe Stelman (Krista), Hannah Stelman, Anna Gries, Veronica Zempel and Maria Zempel; and his sisters, Mary Hall, Kathleen Newsted and Patricia Zempel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
