He was predeceased by : his father Robert L. Horstmann; his sister Jennifer Lynn Horstmann; and his grandparents, Henry "Hank", Luverna Horstmann, Joe and Agnes Schultz.

He is survived by : his mother Diane M. Horstmann (Schultz) of Lester Prairie; his daughters, Shawna, Brandi, Hailey and Samara; and his brother Ross Horstmann (Lisa Blazinski). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
