It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Cate (Robbinsdale, Minnesota), who passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Don departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Don. Though Don may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Cate and Evelyn Cate (Peterson); and his sister Diane Malmberg (Dean). He is survived by: his wife Gabrielle Simmet; his sons, Donald Cate (Marisa) and Barron Cate (Angela); his grandchildren, Carter, Dalton, Allison, Rory and Brooks Cate; and his nephews, Roy and Ross Malmberg.
