He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Nesler and Elizabeth Nesler (Behnken). He is survived by: his wife Elinor Radke; his son Gregory (Denise) of Rochester; his grandchildren, Gayle Rowe of Pewaukee, WI and Natalie Bauman of Wheaton, IL.; and his sister Beverly Grossman of Minneapolis. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
