He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Olsen and Aretha (Hagemeister); his sister Barbara Brunet; and his godson Brandon Brunet. He is survived by: his former wife Paulette Hewitt; his children, Todd Olsen and Andrea Tarpenning (Joe); his grandchildren, Hayley Olsen, Abigale Sutter (Cody), Justin Tarpenning and Jake Tarpenning; his great grandchildren, Yolandi McCann, Allis Sutter and Charlee Sutter; his sister Debra Olsen; his close friend Kay Wagner; his brother-in-law George Brunet; and his nieces, Stephanie Haver (Rick) and Lorie Brunet.

Memorial Donations are suggested to Pheasants Forever, Wounded Warriors, Gary Sinise Foundation, or Seasons Hospice.
