He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Solseth (Fastle) of Savage, MN; his wife Mary; his children, Anthony Solseth (Melanie) of Kasson, MN and Rhiannon Solseth of Rochester, MN; his stepdaughters, Madeline Wisowaty (Brian) of Walworth, WI and Emily Maas of Saint Paul, MN; his brothers, David Solseth (Shereen) of Altoona, IA and James Solseth (Ana) of Northfield, MN; and his grandchildren, Lilith, Abel, William and Camila Solseth.

“A very courteous and respectful young man. He always made me laugh and always had something nice to say to me. He always seemed to brighten my day. And when the few times I worked with Chuck at a fire he was always a pleasure to be around as he seemed to make the fire easier to fight. Last time I saw Chuck was at Don S. funeral. A handful of firefighters attended and Chuck was one of those who said he liked Don. Thank you, Solseth family for raising such a wonderful young man. Terry & Elaine G.”

“I worked with Chuck at the Cedar Rapids Fire Department and he was always caring, compassionate and professional. His laughter filled the room and you could tell he was in the room before entering by his laugh. Chuck made the trek back to Cedar Rapids after getting on Rochester Fire several times to attend either a retirement or pay respect to a fallen brother, he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace brother Chuck!”
