He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henke and Allene Henke; and his brother William. He is survived by: his pet Hopalong Cassidy; his wife Kathy of Rochester; his aunt Corinne Liebenow of Elgin, MN; and his close friend Charlie Kreter.

Memorials are preferred to Paws and Claws, The Salvation Army or to the St. Joseph's Indian school in Chamberlain, SD.
