He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Dormady and Jeanette Dormady (Schneberger); his former wife Mary Chicos; his brother Gerald; his siblings-in-law, Joseph Chicos, Gladys Dormady, Jackie Dormady and Susan Freytag; and his aunt Gladys Stephan.

He is survived by: his wife Char Forney of Rochester; his siblings, Kathleen Smith (Marv) of Rochester, Janice Poldervaard (Loren) of Spring Valley, MN and Bryan of Rochester; his children, Ann Dormady of Joice, IA, Ross Dormady (Liza) of Middleton, ID and Aaron Dormady of Beaverton, OR; his stepchildren, Jericho Forney (Jenny) of Rochester and Krishna Southwick (Jesse) of Rochester; and his grandchildren, Henry, Ellory, Ramon, Carmen, Haley, Jericho Jr., Zyanya, Rebekah and Jade.
