He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Frerichs and Alma Frerichs (Rehborg); his son Randall; his brother Wendell; and his brother-in-law Russell (Thompson).

He is survived by: his wife Dianne of Rochester; his children, Craig Frerichs (Rosanne Betz) of Minneapolis, MN, Scott Frerichs (Lisa) of Hockessin, DE and Krista Preble (Christopher) of Leesburg, VA; his sisters, Beatrice Thompson of Houston, TX, Phyllis Scribner (Jerry) of Trego, WI and Janet Hughes (Larry) of Chisago City, MN; and his sister-in-law Jeanne Frerichs of Roseville, MN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
