She was predeceased by: her husband Clint Swenson; her parents, Ethel Rye and Albert Rye; and her brothers, Laverne of Albert Lea, MN. and Dick Rye of Albert Lea, MN..

She is survived by: her uncle Reverend Andrew Nordaune; her children, Jed Swenson of Woodbury, MN, Susan Brumm (Mike) of Rochester, MN, Julie Hammes of Rochester, MN, Valerie Fordham (Louis Maccini) and Jamie Swenson (Sue) of Tarpon Springs, FL; and her brother Doug Rye of Albert Lea, MN.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Her organs have been donated to Mayo Clinic.
