She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Robert Smith (Schmidt) and Nellie Dale Smith (Miller); her husband Earl; her sons, Richard E. Tieman and Allen A. Tieman (Judy); and her siblings, Frank Jr., Gordon, Louis, Pearl, Alyce and Nellie.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Tieman (Wendy) of Asheville, NC, Daniel Tieman (Da) of Rochester, Andrew Tieman (Amphone) of Rochester, Paul Tieman of Rochester, Dawn Hardtke of Littleton, CO, Pamela Nelson (Bill) of Rochester, Jill Tieman of Asheville, NC, Joy Bailey (Ross) of Rochester, Sandra Tieman (Charlie) of Castle Rock, CO, Teresa Hanson (Peter) of St Paul, MN, Wendy Peavler (Robert) of Cary, NC, Amy Tieman of Rochester and Brenda Tieman (Lance) of Rochester; her sisters, Lois Meschke of Northfield, MN and Jeanette Kuball (Harold) of Morristown, MN.; and her sisters-in-law, Rose Smith of Wenatchee, WA, Thelma Smith of Paris, CA, Marilyn Smith of Faribault, MN and Carol Anderson of Melrose, MN.. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Eva's honor to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or Ability Building Community (ABC).
