He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann of Rochester, MN; his son Mark Gilbertson of Rochester; his granddaughter Molly Gilbertson; and his siblings, Lois Gilbertson of Clearwater, FL, Beverly Thompson (Wayne) of Pinellas Park, FL, Ione Cox (Thomas) of Rochester, MN, Deloris Mitchell of Sandstone, MN, Warren Gilbertson (Diane) of Bagley, MN and Dennis Gilbertson of Largo, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch, Eagles Cancer Telethon or the Ronald McDonald House.
