He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Bolin and Jean Bolin (Heitman); his brother Rick Bolin; and his grandparents, John, Angie Heitman (Ermey), George and Lulu Bolin (Ewing).

He is survived by: his wife Sue Cox Bolin (Lisa); his children, Nathan Bolin (Audrey Gross) of Tulsa, OK and Katie Bolin (Patrick Kennedy) of Edina, MN; his sister Debbie Frakes (Steve) of Girard, KS; and his grandchildren, Grover, Goldie, Charlie Pearl and Maple Bolin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
