He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Neumann and Rose Neumann (Hammel). He is survived by: his wife Janice McCready; and his children, Douglas, Jeff (Cathy) and Pauline Benson. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Due to allergies, the family requests no flowers or plants but prefers memorials to Habitat for Humanity or the Salvation Army.
