She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorvald Westland and Valborg Westland (Selstad); her parents-in-law, Jens and Luvina Thorson; and her sister Doris Sletten.

She is survived by: her husband Theodore O. Thorson of Rochester, MN; her children, Randy (Lynette) of South St, Scott of St. Paul, MN and Becky Thorson-Randall (Steve) of Neenah, WI; her grandchildren, Shane Thorson, Amber Monaghan (Nick), Benjamin Staebler, Katherine Reel (Josh), Josh and Grace Randall; her great grandchildren, Wesley and Lorelei Reel; and her siblings, Ramona Bentzen of Naper, NE, Virginia Plantage of Albert Lea, MN, Paul Westland (Minnie) of Hayward, MN and Dale Westland of Hayward, MN..

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (1212 12th Ave NW, Rochester, MN 55901).
