He was predeceased by: his wife Jackie (Jacalyn); and his siblings, William Kohal (Billy) and Mary Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Terry Laska (Candace) of Ellsworth, John Laska (David) of Red Wing and Tim Laska (Candi) of Wyoming, Minnesota; and his siblings, Pudge, Bob, Joe Laska and Cora. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
