It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Pankonin of Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Swan and Rose Swan (Aulwes); her siblings, Margaret, Ethel, Raymond and Arthur; her siblings-in-law, George, Ross and Jacqueline; and her nephews, Robert (DeeDee) and Gerald (Anita).
She is survived by: her husband Richard Pankonin; her sibling's children, Kathleen Swan (Declan), Cynthia Swan (Robert), Barbara Swan (Paul) and Thomas Swan (Katharine); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Becky, Pam, Michelle, Sherri, Jennifer, Jenna, Marisa, Laura, Kyra, Svetlana, Alex, James and Rafael. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews; and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Episcopal Church (111 3rd Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55902). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
