She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Martinmaas and Matilda Martinmaas; her husband George; and her brother James Martinmaas. She is survived by: her daughters, Laura of Minneapolis, Brigid (Vic Russiff) of Westlake Village and Margaret (Tom French) of Minnetonka; and her grandchildren, Noah, Sophie Russiff and Owen.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota, alz.org.

May Joann now be at peace and may her family remember the years of the past with happy memories.”
