He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Austin and Edith Austin (Streiff). He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his children, Lacey Klassen (Ryan) of Plainview, MN and Amber Behrens (Charlie) of Rochester, MN; his stepsons, Chad Getschmann of Eyota, MN and Eric Getschmann of Elgin, MN; his sisters, Cindy Horn (Rick) and Tammy Wendt (Terry); his grandchildren, Morgan, Mallary, Jordan, Caleb, Grant, Reid, Holden and Grace; and his great grandchild Raelynn.
