He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roman Kauphusman and Gertrude Kauphusman (Martin); his children, Maria Kauphusman, Gina Massett, Tony Kauphusman and Nick Kauphusman (Gidgette); his siblings, Rita Eckstrom, Rick Kauphusman (Kathy) and Dick Kauphusman (Pat); his wife Mary; and his son John. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
