He is survived by: his father James Henry Wilson Sr. Johnathan; his children, Sergio Wilson, Valentae Wilson, Jeron Wilson and Lou Anne Shafer; his siblings, Romes Holmes of Havelock, Jane Wilson of Morehead City, James H. Wilson Jr. of Morehead City, Christopher Wilson of Arizona and Edward Wilson of Morehead City; his uncle Leo Wilson; his aunts, Jean Carol Wilson of Beaufort, Geraldine Wilson of Beaufort, Cornila Brown, Juanita George of Harlowe and Janice George of Harlowe; and his cousin Jerry Wilson Jr.. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
