We are sad to announce that on May 17, 2024, at the age of 87, Karin L. Larson-Purves of Rochester, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Karin had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Karin may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Nelson and Laura Nelson; her husband Ray Purves; and her brother Charles Nelson. She is survived by : her children, Laura Peterson (Rick) of Rochester and Chris Larson of Wabasha, Minn.; her granddaughter Danielle Mallaro (Brian) of Lakeville, Minn.; her great grandchildren, Hailey and Logan Mallaro; her sister Georgeann Bell (Don) of Excelsior, Minn.; her sister-in-law Nancy Nelson of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and her close friend Delone Schuster (Minn) of Rochester. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zumbro Lutheran Church (624 3rd Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55902). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
