She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Hanson (Barney); her parents, Theresa Sheehan Connelly Gleason and James Stephen Connelly; her sister Dorothy Connelly McGlauchlin; and her nephew Michael McGlauchlin.

She is survived by: her son Steven Hanson (Candace) of Stockton, NJ; her grandsons, Evan and Drew Hanson of Stockton, NJ; her son Dr. Gregory Hanson (Michele Hanson) of Rochester; her grandchildren, Dr. Jay Hanson (Jennifer) of Austin, Dr. Tess Hanson of Cincinnati and Dr. Kate Hanson (Sean) of Nashville; her great grandchild Alexandra Hanson of Austin, Texas; and her niece Susan McGlauchlin of Plymouth, Minnesota..

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota.
