He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Vrieze and Lucille Vrieze (Baures); his grandson Thomas Perry; and his siblings, Nevin Vrieze, Burdette Vrieze, Leslie Vrieze and Janette Schroeder.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Vrieze; his children, Dennis Vrieze (Kathie), Scott Vrieze (Sheri) and Kelly Perry (Alan Knoff); his grandchildren, Rhiannon Roberts (Travis), Ben Vrieze, Katie Brekke (Thomas), Jacob Vrieze (Jessica), Hunter Minske (MacKinzy), Morgan Schwanz (Jeremy), Travis Perry, Krysta Perry, Josh Smith (Abe Widjaja) and Sarah Lester (Scott); and his siblings, Bill Vrieze, Carole Wilder, Mary Metcalf and Donna Oeltjen. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
