He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Penz and Ruth Penz; his son Timothy Penz; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Schultz and Peter Schultz; and his brothers, David, Calvin and Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Penz; his children, Daniel Penz (Terri), Rick Penz (Christin) and Tamara McBane (Rob); his grandchildren, Todd Penz (Autumn), Cory Penz (Hilary), Jared Penz (Kristen), Troy Penz (Hannah), Matt Penz (Kate), Drew Penz (Laura), Nate Penz (Lauren), Robbie McBane (McKenna Ryan), Kate McBane, Ian McBane, Lilly McBane and Alec McBane; his great grandchildren, Brecken, Audrey, Sienna, Henry, Willow, Oliver, Judah, Mason, Emma, Sawyer, Bowen, Sophie, Lucy, Ella, Annie, Emily, William and Olivia; his sister Janice Perkins; his stepsons, Mark Schultz (Silveia), Stephen Schultz and David Schultz (Svetlana); his stepdaughter-in-law Monica Schultz; and his stepgrandchildren, David Schultz, Ruth Schultz, Ian Schultz, Paul Schultz, Mathew Schultz, Daniel Schultz, Rachel Schultz, Trinity Schultz and Brianna Schultz.
