He was predeceased by: his parents, Franz Rudolph Jacobson and Helen Jacobson (Siverson); his siblings, Norman Jacobson and Marilyn Ferdon; his brother-in-law Tom Richards; and his son Eric Page Jacobson.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Jacobson (Jones); his daughters, Amy Peters (Michael) of Oklahoma City, OK and Lori Gardner (Nathan) of St Louis Park, MN.; his grandchildren, Rachel, Aaron Peters, Nora and Alan Gardner; his sister Judy Anderson (Curt); his siblings-in-law, Tim Ferdon (Barb) and Marcia Richards; his nieces, Jessica Palmquist (Michael), Sarah Richards, Leah McNeil (Ray), Jeanne Lassard and Kimberly Adams (Brian); and his nephew David Richards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota, the Mankato MY Place, or donor's choice.
