She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Alms and Victoria Alms (Banitt); her husband Stanley Palmer; her son Joseph Palmer; and her sister Eloise Applen.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Palmer of Fort Myers, Florida, Julie Foley (Neil) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lisa Harreld (Tom) of Livingston, Montana, Philip Palmer of Elgin, Minnesota, Daniel Palmer (Anna) of Byron, Minnesota and Nicholas Palmer of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.; and her brothers, Roger Alms (Jean) of Red Wing and Glenn Alms of Goodhue. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
