It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Pappas (Rochester, Minnesota), born in Warne, North Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juanita Davis Deputy and Carl Henry Deputy; and her siblings, Freeda Moss, Fred Deputy, Jim Deputy, Kate Rathburn, Betty Williamson and Judy Stone (Geneva Buchacker).
She is survived by: her husband George Mitchell Pappas, Sr.; her children, George Mitchell Pappas, Jr. and Angela Pappas (Chad Oberg); her grandchildren, Anna Lott (Keith), Kimberly Ornellas, Kelly Ornellas, Brenna Luebker (Chase), Lauren Oberg and Evangelia Oberg (Eva); her great grandchildren, Preston Lott, Cameron Lott, Raelynn Lott and Adelynn Ornellas; and her siblings, Mary Deputy, Ruth Loeb, Annette Neal and Jonathan Deputy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (5905 Silas Dent Rd NW, Rochester, MN 55901).
