He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Soderberg and Elsie Soderberg (Mathson); his son Robert; his parents-in-law, Ray and Edna Strayer; and his siblings, Gerald, Jerome and Lorraine Klocke.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Strayer (Bobbie); his children, Karla Pederson (Craig Holm) of Woodbury, MN, Kirsten McLaughlin (Mark) of Rochester, Eric (Beth) of Minneapolis, MN, Karen of Minneapolis and Mats Andersson (Astrid); his grandchildren, Adam Schimek, Alex Schimek (Alyssa), Jane Jandl (Mike), Matt Pederson, Ella Soderberg and Scott McLaughlin; his great grandchildren, Jack, Isabelle Jandl and Ava Schimek; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Biagas, Louise Strayer, Glen Klocke, Richard Strayer, Al Biagas, Beryl Soderberg and Lois Soderberg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
