The passing of Phyllis Rosella Barnes of Rochester, Minnesota occurred on September 11, 2026. Phyllis, born on June 11, 1926, is remembered by those who knew her. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph McMillen and Petra McMillen (Paulson); her husband Warren Roy Barnes; and her siblings, Ruth, Flora and LeVerne.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis, Starlet Brummer (Donnie) of Rochester, Dale Barnes of Sebring, FL and Linda Sparrow (Bob) of Orange, CA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN 55901). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Henrytown Lutheran Church (36190 County 18, Harmony, MN 55939).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Henrytown Lutheran Church.
