He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Robert and Dorothy Bess Merck; his brother-in-law Donald; his brothers, Arthur (Geneieve) and Eugene (Ellen); his children, Gordon, Jeffrey, Robert and Kathy; Marlys (Bill).
He is survived by: his sister Vivian; his children, Brenda (Mark) and Stan; his grandchildren, Cassandra (Kyle), Chris and Joshua; and his great grandchild Aaron.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church (5500 25th Ave NW, Rochester, MN 55901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (38 7th Ave NE, Rochester, MN 55906).
