The family announces the passing of Robert Henry Meyer of Rochester, Minnesota on October 1, 2026. Robert, born on November 20, 1937, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry W. Meyer and Emily [Laue] Meyer; his grandfather Dietrich H. Laue; his siblings, Sally Kay and Lee Alyn; and his children, Philip John and Sarah Kay.
He is survived by: his uncle William C. Simmering, Jr.; his aunt Alma; his wife Karen L. Anderson of Rochester; and his children, Brian (Jill) of Moorhead, MN and Paula (Mark) of Longmont, CO.. He is also survived by five grandsons, and three granddaughters; as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (869 7th Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904).
Memorials can be made to the Rochester Central Lutheran School in memory of Robert H. Meyer.
