With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert R. Murphy of Rochester, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. "Jack" Murphy and Alice Murphy (Lonergan); and his brothers, Jack, Jim, Don, Dick, Tom, Pete and Joe.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Peters of Rochester; his children, Matthew (Raechel) of Rochester, Andrea Land (Joshua) of Madison, WI and Colleen Murphy of Rochester; his siblings, Sheila Townsend (Herb) of Rochester, Mary Morse (Mark) of Hudson, WI and Mark (Terri) of Byron, MN; his sisters-in-law, Wanda Murphy of Rochester, Linda Murphy of Rochester and Sandy Rocheleau of Rochester; and his grandchildren, Hannah (Jair), Henry, Esther, William and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home (1105 12th St SE, Rochester, MN 55904). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be directed to Channel One Regional Food Bank, Paws and Claws, Salvation Army or a charity of the donor's choice.
