He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Bauer and Catherine Bauer. He is survived by: his wife Sally Bauer; his sons, Scott Bauer (Vanessa), Eric Bauer (Tonya) and Andy Bauer (Jean); his stepchildren, Jim Nerby (Erin), Rick Nerby (Becky), Randy Nerby (Mary) and Christy Hoolihan (Roger); his grandchildren, Haley Hoolihan (Josh), Hope Hoolihan (Mitch), Heidi Hoolihan, Hunter Hoolihan, Holly Hoolihan, Kaylie Giossi (James), Abby Nerby (Riley), Josh Bauer, Carter Bauer, Brandon Nerby (Jess), Owen Nerby, Eli Nerby (Darcy), Dylan Eggen, Kaylee Eggen and Briley Eggen; his great grandchildren, Remi Barnes, Maverick Barnes and Jette Giossi; and his siblings, Tim Bauer (Joyce), Terry Bauer (Debby), Dan Bauer (Diane), Greg Bauer (Danna), Tony Bauer (Rhonda) and Mary Nasvik (Jim).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the O'Connell Funeral Home (520 11th St, Hudson, WI 54016). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in support of children battling leukemia.
