He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Karnes and William Karnes; and his wife Jeannine Little. He is survived by: his sister Suzy Platt (Spencer); and his children, William, John (Julie) of Milwaukee, WI, David "Bruce" (Debbie) of Fridley, MN and Carol (Mick) of Rochester, MN. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Foundation or The Nature Conservancy.
