He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Girgen and Clarine Girgen (Ostertag). He is survived by: his wife Linda Mohlin; his siblings, Joe (Sue), Jim, Jerry, John (Jean), Joyce Townsend (Rusty), Janet Hince (Doug) and Julie Girgen; his stepchildren, Brent Ellingson (Elizabeth), Bryan Ellingson (Sanghee), Lorissa Ellingson Sawhney (Raj) and Jessica Ellingson; and his grandchildren, Lakshmi, Narayan Sawhney, Emery, Mya, Ella and Ava Ellingson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
